THE PHANTOMS OF AN OVERRATED IMAGINATION
published in The Siren Literary Journal, UK

At Forty winks,
One wink haunted.
I felt a presence.

In lassitude,
I scented her.
Dissimilar and Novel.

Deafening vibrations preluding
Symptoms of a dire tempest
Furies erupted
With pestilence, and curse.

She wound her wit,
To evade Ephemeral
Alike a fatal disease

Injecting a tribe of nomadic villains
With sentient worms
And eternal paralysis

She perished Gradually voicing

“I am a deluder.”

AUTUMN

The pivot pretends to last
Evanescent may-be

Tensed groin and flesh
To pervert and revolve

Heyday!

She rustled: "Procrastinate!"
Abrupt perforation to betrayal

He tunneled her
Immersed mastery of lust

He, in her womb, supreme.
Sideways...
Sidewise...
Sideward...

Lateral delusion

He orbits her axis
Erect

She rustled: "Procrastinate!"

Rigid, he vows
Parody

She prostitutes a scream
A censored scream

...Then migration begins.

DINNER OF TWO MINDS

I was holding you like soap when you slipped from one palm to the other.

The dried blood would not come off easily I had to rub you against my skin.

That evening we boiled meat and bones then we added sugar.

Our dinner tasted like a scrumptious candied vein so yummy that,

We licked each other's fingers in an uncivilized fashion.

I cracked your loud knuckles with my fastened lips.

A bitter aftertaste quivered in my throat like a chunk of plums,

Pickled in brine so damn acidic so desperately sanctifying.

You make a perfect condiment for a bland bite.

DEFINE THE SQUARE
published in The Siren Literary JournalUK

The Square is a circle with
4 corners
Edges that never meet
A variable center,
And a corralled circumference

The Square has no nature
Therefore boundaries are unpredictable.
On a perfect day,
The Square has a face
And frequently a fragrance
That smells like  adrenaline.

LOVE IN THE TIME OF WATER
published in Voix Magazine

They travelled the desert with a euphoric sense of nervousness.
He spanned her slim waist with his hands . Incurable Romantic.
He charmed her into a kiss. An alerted kiss.
They tangoes the labyrinth away from the intruder. Extremely overwrought to control the dance.
She fretted, forcing him to resist her blatant charm.
He mocked her puerile panic.
She shoved him back.
He grasped her closer.
'Don't turn on the charm, Monsieur.' He muted her with a kiss. Inexorable.
The war of nerves ceased. She weakened.
Under the bridge, in full flow, they romanced. A gentle breeze.
Music pulsed through the coupled body.
She fought for breath. An orgasmic breath.
She enthralled him to her feet.

“He travelled her body with his watery lips.
Sighed. Deeper.”

The land sank to their sensual quarrel. The thrill of the hunt soared.

The intruder is on a scouring move.
Groaning her lust,
'Ah!' Added to the intruder's woes. A long odyssey to sail across!
Another 'Ah!' An ongoing melodramatic dispute. A long long odyssey to sail across!

'I know you', he ejaculated!
Whispers of delight stormed his body.
He rose. Utopia.
The intruder climaxed in jealousy turmoil. Chaos.

One last 'Ah!'
Whoosh.
The intruder vanished.

Instantly, her face, veiled in mist, lightened.
'Baghdad, would you love me again?' whispered the Tigris.
